Miss Shepherd, a transient woman of uncertain origins, "temporarily" parks her van in the London driveway of iconic writer, Alan Bennett - but proceeds to live there for the next 15 years. What begins as a begrudged favour becomes an unexpected relationship that will change both of their lives.
